Announcing the NMS unified auditions for 2024-2025! We encourage you to audition for as many groups as you can.
NEW THIS YEAR: In addition to the
Greater New Haven Youth and Concert Orchestras, the
Premier Ensembles, Chamber 360, the Blues Ensemble, and Rhythm Kings, you can also request to be placed in a
smaller custom ensemble (classical, jazz, rock). Also, for those entering grades 10 and 11, you can audition for the senior division of our
Young Artist Diploma Program! APPLICATION & AUDITIONS
Please submit your unlisted YouTube audition video link on the application form.
Video Audition Guidelines:
- Provide your name, any ensemble experience you have had, and a fun fact about yourself.
- Play two scales—one major, one minor.
- Play a piece/excerpt that best represents your playing level.
Follow these steps to make your video unlisted:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- From the left menu, select "Content."
- Point to the video you'd like to update. To see your live uploads, select the "Live" tab.
- Click the down arrows under "Visibility" and choose "Unlisted."
- Save.
