Enrollment for New Students
Welcome to Neighborhood Music School! We are delighted to welcome you to our community.
As you embark on your journey at NMS, we invite you to contact us so we may learn more about your interests and goals. We look forward to recommending the right one-on-one teacher, group class, or ensemble for you.
When you are ready, please follow these instructions to enroll:
One-on-one Lessons for the 2022-2023 Academic Year
- Open enrollment for new students begins on June 1.
- If you haven't already, please contact us to discuss one-on-one lessons and learn more about the enrollment process.
- Set up your online NMS account here.
When you have been matched with a teaching artist, Student Services will contact you for placement and payment.
- If you choose to pay via payment plan, a deposit is required at the time of enrollment, along with a 3% payment plan fee. The balance will be paid over monthly installments through March 15.
- Lessons may begin after the initial payment is received.
One-on-one Lessons for the Summer
- If you haven't already, please contact us to discuss one-on-one lessons and learn more about the summer enrollment process.

- When you have been matched with a teaching artist, Student Services will contact you for placement and payment. Payment for summer lessons must be made in full at the time of enrollment.
- There are no makeup times or refunds for scheduled summer lessons.

Covid-19 Vaccination
As of June 27, 2022, Neighborhood Music School requires all students who participate in NMS activities in person, and who are eligible by age for a Covid-19 vaccine, to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and to submit proof of vaccination by the first day of their activity. Parents/caregivers who participate in lessons, classes, and/or ensembles with students in person must also be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and submit proof of vaccination by the first day of their activity.
