Our Drama & Film Philosophy

Philosophy
Our drama program invites students into a vibrant, collaborative community led by experienced teaching artists with professional backgrounds in musical theater, theater and film. Students will have the unique opportunity to explore identity, self-awareness and personal confidence through the art of theater and film. Classes emphasize ensemble-building, teamwork, and creative risk-taking in a supportive, student-centered environment.

Our program also teaches empathy through storytelling. By observing the world through this lens, we explore the depth and power of the human connection.

In the studio, students learn how to give and receive feedback from teaching artists and peers alike—an essential skill for growth as an artist. Many of our programs culminate in a full production, giving students the opportunity to apply their learning on stage and experience the excitement of bringing a story to life. By developing these artistic skills, we believe it will foster collaboration, compassion and confidence in everyday life.
