ATLAS is committed to fostering an inclusive learning community reflective of New Haven’s socioeconomic diversity. We believe that diversity maximizes learning and strengthens our school community. Over 80% of our current ATLAS students receive financial aid. Financial aid is offered on the basis of demonstrated financial need and it is allocated on a yearly basis. Our financial aid awards are grants, so they do not need to be paid back.
In the 2023-2024 school year, 100% of families requesting financial aid received an award.
Financial aid covers up to 100% of tuition, based on a family's ability to pay. All interested students seeking a small, supportive middle school experience are encouraged to apply!
2024-2025 Tuition: $27,500
The first round financial aid application deadline is February 15, 2025, though we strongly encourage families applying for aid to submit their financial aid application by January 17, 2025. Families applying during rolling admissions should submit their financial aid materials in tandem with their online application.
ATLAS partners with School and Student Services (SSS) to receive financial aid applications and supporting documentation.
To apply for financial aid, please complete the Parents’ Financial Statement through SSS. The Academic Theatre Lab on Audubon Street (ATLAS) school code is 9144.
We recommend that you read through all SSS directions and materials before beginning the financial aid application. Please visit the SSS Family Resource Center to learn more.
If a family qualifies, the SSS fee is automatically waived by SSS.
If you need assistance completing the Parents’ Financial Statement, please contact the SSS Family Support Center at (800) 344-8328.
ATLAS’s Financial Aid Committee reviews all financial aid applications. The review process is completely confidential. Admission notifications and financial aid award notifications are made at the same time.
