ATLAS understands the importance of choosing the right middle school. When ATLAS meets a student's educational interests and needs as well as aligns with a family's educational vision, Neighborhood Music School is committed to ensuring that tuition is not a barrier to enrollment. ATLAS and NMS’s Financial Aid Committee partner with families to meet their demonstrated financial need and make enrollment possible.
In order to be good stewards of the limited resources available for financial aid, ATLAS uses a third-party administrator, Clarity, to assess financial need. Financial aid is allocated on a yearly basis. ATLAS’s financial aid awards are grants, so they do not need to be paid back to NMS/ATLAS.
2026-2027 Tuition: $28,500
The first-round financial aid application deadline is January 29, 2027, the same date that applications for admissions are due. We certainly welcome applications before the deadline. Families applying during rolling admissions must submit their financial aid materials in tandem with their online application.
ATLAS uses Clarity to process all financial aid applications. Clarity is an easy way for families to share financial information with ATLAS and other area peer schools. Please note that there is a $65 fee, payable to Clarity. If your family is applying to multiple schools, you only pay the Clarity fee once. Applications typically take under 30 minutes to complete and are in English and Spanish.
To get started, please initiate your Clarity Account and begin your application. It is important to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your application, as ATLAS requires you to upload additional tax documentation, including the previous year’s Federal 1040 tax documents, 1099s, and W-2s. Please note that ATLAS aligns with financial aid best practices and does require financial information from each parent/guardian regardless of custodial arrangements.

ATLAS’s Financial Aid Committee reviews all financial aid applications with care and confidentiality. If admitted with a financial aid award, an applicant’s family will know the admissions and financial aid decisions typically at the end of February.
