Student of Elaine Silbereis
Eli Berk is 12 years old and attends E. C. Adams Middle School in Guilford. Hehas studied piano for 6 years and cello for 3 years; he is an avid solo andensemble performer. On piano, Eli has been an active participant in recitals andcompetitions through Neighborhood Music School and the Hartford MusicTeachers' Alliance. He took 3rd place in the 2021 HMTA Virtuoso Competition,and performed at Carnegie Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Music’s NewYork Celebration of Excellence Awards Recital in 2018. On cello, he performswith the Greater New Haven Youth Concert Orchestra, the Shoreline YouthChamber Orchestra, the E.C. Adams Middle School Select Orchestra and StringQuartet. He was chosen as 2nd chair cellist for the 2022 CT Music EducatorsAssociation Southern Region Middle School Festival Orchestra. Eli is currentlypreparing for the Level 8 exams for the Royal Conservatory of Music program.He is a student of Elaine Silbereis (piano), Rebecca Patterson (cello), IstvanB'Racz (composition) and Jody Rowitsch (music theory).
