I'm a partner at Shipman & Goodwin LLP and practice in real estate development, commercial financing, commercial leasing and land use counseling. My experience includes counseling clients in the acquisition, financing, development, leasing and disposition of commercial, mixed-use and multi-family residential properties, and appearing before various municipal land use boards and commissions throughout Connecticut. I also represent hotel owners and purchasers in the acquisition and disposition of luxury, historic, boutique and franchised hotel properties throughout Connecticut, and developers and investors in government loans, grants and tax credit syndication transactions, including historic rehabilitation tax credit transactions and low-income housing tax credit transactions. I am a member of the CBA Special Committee on Standards of Title, a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, a member of the Executive Committee of the CBA Real Property Section and a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation. I have been named a Connecticut SuperLawyer in Real Estate (and a Connecticut SuperLawyer: Rising Star for several years prior), am a rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and am a past co-chair of the Real Estate Committee of the New Haven County Bar Association. When not practicing law, I practice music at the Institute of Sacred music at Yale University as a member of the Yale Camerata. I am admitted to practice law in the states of Connecticut and New York, and hold degrees fron the Quinnipiac University School of Law and the University of Connecticut.
