I am Director of Academic Engagement at the Guggenheim Museum, where I oversee the museum's programs for students and faculty in higher education, including developing academic partnerships around architecture and design. I have a PhD in History of Science from Harvard, and I have been an interdisciplinary educator, scholar, curator, and arts administrator at academic and cultural institutions in both the US and the UK. I was the inaugural photography curator at the Yale Center for British Art and taught in Yale's History of Science and Medicine program, before moving to the Guggenheim (but remaining in New Haven) in 2023.
I may have built my career in the humanities and visual arts, but musical education and performance have been a constant through line in my life, from formative Suzuki violin lessons at the age of 5 through experiments with musical theater and opera, and a lifetime of piano and choral singing (not to mention marrying a violist). With my kids' piano, guitar, and violin lessons, and my middle schooler thriving at ATLAS, NMS has been an important space for creative expression and community for my family for over a decade.
