As a Financial Advisor, I enjoy working with families and individuals on comprehensive wealth management strategies. I spent most of my professional life in the world of finance, both in the private and the public sectors. Born in Malaysia, I grew up in Singapore before leaving for the U.K. to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Economics. My previous position as an Equity Portfolio Manager at the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Singapore ultimately brought me to New York City. I moved to New Haven in 2010 when my husband and I started a family. My parents instilled in me an early and lasting appreciation of music through piano lessons and singing together as a family. With the same goal in mind, I enrolled our daughter in the Early Childhood Music program at NMS when she was six months old. She is currently an enthusiastic student of piano. I became interested in nonprofit work when my daughter attended The Children’s Preschool in New Haven and I led a campaign to fund capital improvements there. I joined the Board in 2015 and I am excited to now devote my energy to NMS. I have a B.A. from the University of Cambridge, U.K., hold the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
