I cannot recall a time when music and the arts were not central to my life. My grandfather, William W. Bowie, was a lifelong music teacher (including at NMS) and encouraged all of his children and grandchildren to take lessons. Naturally, the only question was when, rather than if, I would play an instrument. In 1999, I began taking Viola lessons with Grace Feldman and remained her student until I joined the Trinity Boys Choir. My lifelong connection to music and the arts continues to inspire and guide me.
Outside of NMS, I am an attorney and active member of the New Haven community. I currently serve as Senior Counsel for Publisher Simon & Schuster where I am a trusted advisor and partner on commercial, litigation, publishing, and labor and employment matters. Prior to Simon & Schuster, I was a trusted advisor in the legal department of a global consumer products company and a law firm. Outside of practice, I am have served in leadership positions for non-profit boards and local, statewide and national organizations.
