A Raft of Wings: The NMS Concert for Human Rights

Fri., March 9, 2018 – 7:00 pm FREECo-presented by Pete DiGennaro and Dr. Jennifer Klein, this concert celebrates the power of cultural practices to overcome fear, unveil truth, and liberate hope. Artists from the NMS faculty, from the Hartford / New Haven Arts Communities, and from Cape Verde and Tanzania (via Skype) will perform separately and together, to honor our shared humanity. Amnesty International, Nasty Women New Haven, NYU’s Department of Arts Politics, and IRIS (Integrated Refugee and Immigration Services) will be on hand to share their work and opportunities with everyone, as well. We look forward to seeing you!
