Zach Polson is a native of Overland Park, Kansas, where he began studying piano at the age of 4. He earned his BM in Piano Performance from Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music and his MM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts. His teachers include Karen Ann Krieger, Dr. Catharine Lysinger, Dr. Carol Leone, and Dr. Sam Holland, among others. He has worked most recently in Dallas, as the Director of Piano at the Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts, and in Minneapolis, where he maintained a private studio and taught at the Minnetonka Public School District.
