Sue Zoellner- Cross is our NMS bassoon teacher, ensemble teacher of numerous groups, Coach of the Winds of our Youth orchestras, Chair of the Wind and Brass Dept, and Co-Chair of the ensemble Department. She received her bachelors degree from Hart school of music and as an educator, Sue maintains one of the largest bassoon studios in the Northeast, over 15 bassoonists yearly of all ages and abilities! Many of her students go on to prestigious colleges and are competition winners.

Sue teaches at NMS because of it's mission to serve everyone, and the way that she has seen music transform lives. She loves working with students of all ages and abilities and helping them all reach their goals. Sue is currently Assistant Principal bassoon with both the New Haven Symphony and Orchestra New England, along with being an avid freelancer in CT. She is also a member of the Woodwind Quintet "Harmonia V", that is a vibrant exciting ensemble that performs throughout the Northeast. Sue is also on the music faculty at Southern CT State University in New Haven.

Sue and her husband Dan maintain a 2nd home in North Myrtle Beach, SC where she is also on the roster of the Long Bay Symphony. In addition to her love of music and teaching, she enjoys hours on the clay tennis courts in her free time.
