Rebecca Rutzou holds a BMus from The Australian National University where she studied flute with Virginia Taylor and Vernon Hill, and a Dip.Ed. from the University of Canberra. She has taught flute, classroom music and conducted a variety of choral and instrumental ensembles in Primary and Secondary schools in Australia and the UK. In her position as Choral Director at Akiva School in London, Rebecca collaborated with composer Carl Davis (CBE) to conduct selections of his works for children. In June 2015, Rebecca was presented with a Mayor of London ‘Music Excellence in Schools Award’ on behalf of Akiva School.
