Mani Mirzaee is an Iranian-American composer, educator, pianist, setar and tar performer. His music often explores the seams and boundaries of his Eastern and Western traditions, where he continues to explore his musical DNA. Mani holds a BA from Southern Connecticut State University and a GPD from The Hartt School, where he is currently pursuing his MM in Composition. His teachers include Robert Carl, Ken Steen, Larry Alan Smith and David Macbride. Mani has studied piano with Istvan B’Racz at NMS, Jonathan Irving at SCSU, and Eric Trudel and Maggie Francis at Hartt. He received his Suzuki teacher training at the Holy Names University where he studied with Caroline Frazer.
