Frances Taylor
Originally from Cambridge, England, Frances Taylor is now on the piano faculty of both Westminster Conservatory of Music at Westminster Choir College and the Neighborhood Music School. She was formerly a faculty member of the Mannes College of Music, 92nd Street Y, and the Hartt School of Music. Ms. Taylor holds a Piano diploma from the Mannes College of Music and a M.A. degree in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has studied piano with Marvin Blickenstaff, Professor Robert Pace, Esma Pasic-Filipovic, Mei-Mei Meng and Mordecai Shehori. She is also a certified Suzuki piano instructor.
Ms. Taylor is passionate about teaching children and enriching their lives through the love of music. She is in demand as a judge at local festivals and competitions as well as teacher of piano, group piano and pre-instrumental classes. Her students routinely participate in state and local festivals and competitions and receive the highest honors. They also participate in The Royal Conservatory of Music examination program, which has led to her students participating in the annual Carnegie Hall “Certificate of Excellence Award Recital.
