Erik Ellgers, clarinet and saxophone, received a B.M. in studio music and jazz performance from the University of Miami. He studied with Gary Keller, Ron Miller, Vince Maggio, Chuck Bergeron and Greg Gisbert. He has performed with Johnny Mathis, Dick Oatts, Ralph Lalama, John Mosca, Scott Wendholt, Bill Watrious, Arturo O’Farrill, Ira Sullivan, James Moody, John Fedchock and Jim McNeely. Mr. Ellegers is an active freelance performer throughout New England and New York. He also performs with Shoreline Jazz Collective, Rob Zappulla Big Band, Hartford Jazz Orchestra and the Elligers Brothers Quartet. Mr. Elligers is the Jazz Band, Concert Band and choral music director at Xavier High School, Middletown, Conn.
