Andrew Rosen holds a BM from DePaul University and a MM from the Hartt School of Music. Andrew performs regularly throughout the northeast as a section cellist with the New Britain Symphony Orchestra, CT Lyric Opera, and CT Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. He has performed in masterclasses for esteemed cellists Matt Haimovitz and Steven Isserlis, as well as for violinist, Violaine Melançon. Andrew is not only a passionate performer but also a dedicated teacher. Andrew currently holds teaching positions at esteemed Connecticut private schools such as The Westminster School and The Pomfret School. Andrew has also been a teaching artist at the El-Sistema inspired program, Bravo Waterbury. Andrew is a proponent of both Traditional and Suzuki teaching methods and has studied Suzuki Pedagogy with renowned pedagogue Pamela Devenport at the School for Strings. Principal teachers have also included Stephen Balderston, Mihai Tetel, Alan Rafferty, and Terry King.
