Need-Based Financial Aid: Available for qualified students participating in any NMS activity.

Endowed Scholarships (merit or need-based): Named endowed funds providing annual awards to students in specific activities.

Student Sponsorships: Provided by individual corporations or foundations to underwrite full or partial tuition for specific students.

Tuition-Free Programs

The DELTA Initiative: Developing and Empowering Leadership Through the Arts. A program for dedicated New Haven middle and high school students offering lessons, classes and ensembles in music or dance, combined with leadership development.

Dancing with Parkinson’s

 Dancing with Parkinson’s: Affiliated with the Mark Morris Dance Group’s Dance for PD program, these dance classes serve adults with Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders.

ASAA: After-School Arts Academy – Offers hands-on artistic training and self-exploration to develop life skills for students in grades 3-5 (includes both free and sliding scale tuition).

Premier Ensembles: Auditioned ensembles offering pre-professional training and performance opportunities. Includes Premier Jazz, Premier Winds, Premier Strings and Premier Dance Co.

DoSo Dance Band

Neighborhood DoSo Dance Band: A multi-generational group that learns social dance music and performs for live dancers.

Sherry & Alivia Craft Steel Band: A steel band for teens that plays popular music, West Indian songs and jazz.
